3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
50 cl can. Good frothy head, poor carbonation. Nose of hops, rather pronounced. Clean taste with a good balance between malts and hops. A good middle-of-the-road one. Better than a number of (other) Belgian pilsners - although this is not really a very solid reference.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sampled 50 cl. can @ Kulminator poured into a big EKU ceramic mug – this is one of those really cheap beers that you see around in Aldi over here, popular with the welfare people, homeless people seem the prefer this brand less, maybe because it is a couple of cents more expensive than the other ones – although not expensive, the mark-up that he played for this must have been insane – no idea what the colour is because of the ceramic nature of the mug, depressing greyish head – smell like sweet grains & caramel candy – taste like sweet grains, white bread, banana, caramel candy, cheap malts, not overtly sweet but you get some of that cheep lager, grain sweetness deal here, touch grass, hint metallic, easy bitterness – body feels quite watery – there are only two ways in which these kinds of macro pils / pale lager type of stuff can be drinkable, either it is so utterly bland that it taste almost like water or the adjunct & cheep malts add a sweetness to it which masks the bad flavours & makes it tolerable, this is in the latter camp, aimed at the lower classes, this is actually preferable to some of the terrible Belgian Pilsner which the higher up class consume here

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
50cl can @ Aldi.

2.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
A nice example that cheap products can come with good quality. this beer has not high expectations but definetely is well done. Taste is fresh, good appearance and delicate aroma.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle 1L @aldi, a clear yellow beer with medium head. Nose is grainy and on dry malt. Aroma is low, slightly caramel like with paper notes, body is bread like, not great pils but drinkable, better than expected, low hops.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
After the CB from Norway this was an improvement. While it maynot be saying a lot there was a reasonable degree of spiciness and dry finish that a Jever has. Not as refined but still a fair attempt at the Euro Pils.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
50 cL can. Pours clear and golden yellow with a huge white head. Aroma is grassy and slight hayish. Malty, slight sweet and vague metallic flavoured. Subdued bitter and slight sweet finish.

2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Another medium gold with medium size and medium lasting white head. Faint forgettable hops and malt aroma. Please someone show me a pils with a decent aroma! Medium-light body, bright bitter sweet start, weak bitter middle and bland but somewhat refreshing finish. Relys too much on the palate and not enough is done with flavours for my taste.
