JorisPPattyn (4638), Antwerpen, Belgium Oct 23, 2004 Pink-purple head, as coloured whipped eggwhite; fully hazy cyclamen beer, the exact colour of kiwano pulp or pitahaya peel. Sweetish, fruity nose, nothing specific. I detect quite some lactic acid as well, Brett-like. Sweet-sour mix (indeed). Fruity taste, more like some watery exotic fruit (kiwano again?) rather than raspberry. True quality shows retronasal with a cloying, syrupy sweetness. Light but not thin. Quite tart finish, due to the raped beer underneath. I actually didn’t find this revolting (too much B.W. underneath, probably). Gonna find me a secluded spot in the backgarden, dig a hole in the ground and lie myself down to die, as the dog I am. Gr0ve (1123), Oslo, Norway Mar 13, 2006 330 ml bottle. Raspberry red color. Hazy. Creamy and chunky head. Big compact islands of foam float in the glass. Aroma is fruity and full of red berry aromas. Strong, but crisp, raspberry and cherry aromas. Slightly tart flavour. Flavour is very tart, sugary and fruity. Very much like raspberry lemonade. Refreshing, but a tad too sweet. dortmunder (961), Herdecke, Germany Dec 28, 2004 Bottled. Pink coloured, with a rose-coloured head. Slightly yeasty, raspberry aroma. Sweet, tart, citric, raspberry flavour. This is better than the waldmeister mix from Schultheiss. HenrikSoegaard (3289), Randers, Denmark Oct 12, 2006 Bottle thanks to Saxo. Creamy pink excellent fully lasting head. Red/Oink colour. Powerfull raspberry aroma and flavor. Light yeasty. Sweet average finish. Watery palate but I cant help it.
