500ml Draft in Berlin: poured yellow with a thick white head. Light hop aroma, slight corn. Flavor is your averge run of the mill Germany lager. Amazingly I drank this quite quickly as I was dying of thirst. Slight hops, corn in the flavor. Mild bitter finish. Okay.

The bottle looks good, a little bit simple, but good. The beer in the glass also, not very much foam. The beer is very vapid, almost washy. Nevertheless drinkable. An average beer.

Remarkably pale, so that in slightly lower light than I’m pouring in, it would be quite easy to mistake for water. From a techincal perspective—well, I’d have a hard time making a beer that pale. From an aesthetics perspective, "that don’t impress me much". A modicum of white head that’s gone quickly. Vauge cereal aroma and a modest dose of herbal hops. Vaguely industrial grainy sweetness, uninspiring but not totally absent hops. Just a little more interest than the bland pale BMCs of the world. Come now Berlin—is this really your favorite beer?

Beer 93 Summer 2006 trip in Europe. Drank on 7/19/06 @ Fat Tire Bike Tours in Berlin, my free beer after being "The Ass Man" on our bike tour. Came in a small duvel like bottle. It was pretty lame but easy to drink after a long bike ride.

Berlin Trip beer No.9. Very light almost tasteless. Malty finish. Big head very blond. These are the only notes I made on this one.... can’t have been impressed. Its a very common beer in Berlin.

Bottle, 5.0%. Slightly citric, but OK aroma. Clear golden colour, small white head. Full flavour with a strangely rough, but not very bitter finish.Quite close to a Danish standard pils, perhaps a bit cleaner.
