Draught @ the brewpub. Pours hazy amber with airy, small off-white head. Clear aroma of malt, with touches of caramel, yeast and hops. Bitter, hoppy flavour, with touches of caramel malt and pronounced estery notes. Bitter aftertaste with subtle hints of metal. OK but nothing really special.

Draught at Schüttinger Brauerei. Pale brown with a medium off-white soapy head. Light to medium body with soft carbonation. Medium sweet- and bitterness. Malts, caramel, dark fruits and some chocolate. A decent refreshing brew.

Tap @ Schüttinger Brauerei, Bremen. Hazy amber with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, light caramel, light fruity and moderate hoppy - straw. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. Prickly carbonation, that I didn’t like. 150613

On tap (0.4 l) at Schüttinger, Bremen... Clody dark orange color, average head... Some roasted malt aroma... Boring, mild and unspecial flavor... Short ending... Nothing special...

UPDATED: FEB 13, 2013 The "Dunkel" looked rather light - much lighter than the picture here, but not as light as their "Hell". So is that a Keller/Landbier then? I have had this beer a few times at the Schuettinger. Well, it’s far from being a memorable "pub beer", but it’s quite pleasant and crisp, with a feel of freshness. As I always had it washing down a fabulous dish of Labskaus and Knipp, so rich are these dishes that I usually take the beer for granted. I’d have more if I didn’t have to take the Autobahn back on the driver’s seat. This is one of the several alternatives to Beck’s (there are four other breweries in the city of Bremen).

Totally drinkable beer. Very simple taste. The only alternative to Becks that is brewed in Bremen.

Wässriger Röstmalz-Antrunk. Geringfügig hopfig, laff. Starker Kontrast zum Hellen, leider ein langweiliges Bier. 11/7/8/7//7

On tap. Murky brown liquid with not a lot to recommend it. Chocolate and liquorice dominate, but quite watery. Malty and toffee flavour. Very uninspiring.

Ungstrup (29226) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - AUG 9, 2011
Draft. An unclear deep red beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel as well as lighter notes of citrus fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel as well as lighter notes of bread, leading to a very dry and slightly bitter finish. The body is light.

On tap. Pours a hazy orangey light brown. Plenty of licorice and chocolate in the nose. Medium body, fairly dry, roasted malts with a good bitterness. 190810
