33cl Schweiz. Typical pale lager, very harmonic. Citric, sweetish and hoppy just in a right way. Refreshing and exciting. Medium bodied, small foam, light Co2.

Lovely session beer, especially for the price of an import in Australia. Pours with the promise of summer, delivers on the nose, grass and pine and toasted grain. Taste is a little less exciting, it doesn’t quite follow through, but leaves a pleasant lingering bitterness. Overall a very well balanced, easy drinking lager.

ALLOVATE (2098) - Butler, AUSTRALIA - SEP 21, 2006
From the stumpy little stubby, into its own flute. Yellowy gold in body, bright and well charged. Rocky, white head rose up an inch, receded to half and held there to lace well down the glass. Aroma of fresh mowed grass with a touch of damp, musty grains. Quite pronounced and pleasant. Musty, bready and straw-like grains in the mouth. Quite dry and gritty. Body is light, almost delicate. Slightly soapy in the back with a zing of grassy hops showing. Nice earthy hop swallow that is a little sour and zesty, but not too long. Remained good for the length. A decent, balanced lager. Simple hops and malt. Quite nice. (33cL, no date stamp, Morley Liquor Merchants)

500 ml bottle in Germany. Pale yellow color with small head. Hoppy grassy hay aroma. Taste is light and refreshing. Palate is light non-offensive. To date the best pale lager I have ever had.

Schützengarten LAGER HELL. 330 ml, green bottle with twist-off cap. Pale lager with a pils-y taste. But in a good way. Refreshing. Not bad. Not bad at all.

Bottle. Fresh barley aroma - slight sweetness. Golden yellow with small head. Sweet barley malt flavor with mild hops finish. Decent body. A smooth drinking beer - above average for European lagers.

Bottled. A light golden beer with a thin yellowish head. The aroma has notes of straw, minerals, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw, malt, and minerals, leading to a dry finish.
