Schönes sattes bräunlich-Gold, trüb, gutes Schaumverhalten. Nase hefig, bananig. Geschmack ähnlich, klassisch. Vergleichsweise weich. Auf der Linie der guten bayerischen Vorbilder.

Bierkrug (2109) - Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Bavaria, GERMANY - OCT 17, 2010
500 ml bottle in Switzerland. Pours a orange hazy brown color. Full very frothy head almost like whipped cream. A fantastic looking beer! Aroma is yeast, cloves and banana. Taste is much the same. Palate is mellow and nice. A very good Hefe. A little off the normal German type but really nice.

500 ml bottle. From Rickenbach bei Wil, Switzerland.
Dark orange colour with big off-white head. Sweet fruity (banana/citrus), caramel and wheaty aroma. Fruity, yeasty and wheaty flavour with some hoppy notes. Definitely not bad.

Quack-Duck (7517) - Down South, GERMANY - MAR 30, 2011
bottle from Blaser Kreuzlingen. Cloudy brownish-golden colour, large off-white head. Fruity-yeasty nose. Very wheaty, only shy hints of fruit, not as heavy on banana as many examples of the style. Wheaty, yeasty, with shy hints of honey, vanilla, clove and caramel. Ver nice.

Bottle courtesy of Bierkrug - thanks again. Aroma: bananas, sugar, a bit musty somehow. Taste follows suit - cloves, by with the same musty front.

MoritzF (8250) - Bochum, GERMANY - MAR 31, 2011
(bottle, courtesy of Quack-Duck) Cloudy, deep golden to light-amber colour with a tall but non-persistent and off-white foamy head. Yeasty and intensively bubblegum-fruity aroma with wheaty notes, a touch of banana and citrus and mildly phenolic spices. Sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a crisp carbonation. Wheaty, slightly yeasty and fruity taste with obvious notes of bubblegum; mildly sweet and slightly bitter finish with fruity notes and a touch of phenolic spices. Classical Weizen. Good. 30.III.11

pivnizub (8580) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - APR 9, 2011
Bottle (kindly delivered by Quack-Duck!): Deep golden, cloudy, big beaten egg-white-like stable off-white head; first bubble-gum and bananas, later yeast and lemons in the nose; moderate to solid sweet-sourish flavour, almost medium bodied, smooth; increasing sourish-lemony fruitiness in the mild wheaty/bananey finish. Chapeau: a very nice Weizen.....

Bov (9050) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - MAY 3, 2010
from bierhütte.ch - pours a hazy dark copper-orange colour with a long lasting foam; nice lacework; cloves dominate the nose leaving hay and banana in the background; moderate carbonation for the style, very sweet, fizzy finish with more notes of cloves and hay - not bad at all
