Although not really my style, this is a very good example of it. Malty, fruity, lightly hopped in both aroma as flavor. Bit alcoholic start but soon gone, soft body.

Pours a fine lasting white head on a golden body. Quite heavy in the aroma, malty and flowery. Sweet malty in the flavor with a good roasted tone and some bitter hops in the finish. Fruity and light spicy also. A nice and easy beer.

500ml bottle: Apple juice colored with a thin fizzy head. Mild hop aroma with mild fruitiness. Finishes dry and sour. Too sour.

This is one great Marzen. Love the nose, and great lasting head and lace. Malty but not sweet with just the right hop balance. Malt lasts all the way through with pleasant aftertaste. Hits the right caramelly notes. Doesn't seem to travel well. Moved back from Europe in the fall and despite staying within the best by date there was noticeable degredation. Not skunky...but just not fresh either. I guess nothing beats taking a case of empties back to the store and lugging home fresh ambrosia.
