500ml bottle (Stockmann, Tallinn)
Slightly starchy aroma. Paleish and clear, brief head. Watery palate. Simple starchy body, ans some metallic biting hops. Damn - we had 2 great beers by these guys earlier, but this is macro style thinness. Don’t filter good beers. Disappointed. So starchy.

Swing top bottle. Golden body, medium to small head. Aroma has papery German hops. Sweetish and mildly papery taste, muted. Drinkable but barely has any character. I expected a load of honey and cookie dough Helles goodness from this beer. Why? Because I foolishly paid 3 EUR for a bottle and thought this meant it had to be at least halfway decent.

Bottle from Aldi. Pale yellow lager, not much character and no head. Has a regular sweetness for its type.

Average sized, white and quickly diminishing head, with clear yellow body; aroma is straw and herbs, flavour is sweet but nothing remarkable.

.5l swing top, found at Aroma in Belgrade. Light eggy yellow, bright soapy white head. Light wet dog aroma, body is light and slightly sticky sour. Lemon, quite sweet. Cardboard. Not worst thing ever, but not good

UPDATED: MAY 24, 2013 Bottled 27/03/13. A golden beer with a little whitish head. A sweetish aroma with some lemony hopping. Clean and crisp in the mouth. Not a lot going on but palateable enough. A reasonable German lager I guess. Score 2.7

50cl fliptop bottle. One final time, to celebrate not having to drink this and not living in Stuttgart anymore... Whenever I have to drink this, I imagine a depressed SchwabenBräu brewer in Tübingerstrasse, wanting to get back at his chef by adding stale malt upon bags of old malts, only sprinkling in some hop pellets to make it minimally suffice as beer. - Nose is somebody farting next to you, mouthfeel is slightly vivid/acidic, everything else is dry malt and water. Hence drinkable, yes, but everything about this Helles is defined by a lacklustre idea of what beer should serve as, aka to wash down your Käsepätzle and Schupfnudeln. Hanging around until retirement...

dreadnord (1013) - San Diego, California, USA - FEB 10, 2013
Pours pale yellow with orange hues and a small white head. Nose is a little yeasty, caramel apple, slight hay or grass. The taste is somewhat sweet and a little tart. Not much bitter found. No hints is the sulfur typical in dortmunders either. The mouthfeel is crisp yet not so clean. The body is light and the finish is long. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
