hoppybreweruk (33) - WALES - DEC 16, 2012
A blonde colour pale ale bought from Aldi in Cwmbran. The bottle has a swing top which gave a nice pop sound when opened. The bottle is 500ml and the beer is 5% abv. I was not overly impressed with the taste of this beer as i thought it was bland. However it did pour nice and gave a nice one finger head with a nice steady carbonation.

Bottled, 500ml swing top from Aldi in Banbury. Gold with fizzed head. Sweet and maize corn like flavours, a little glutinous with a fruity note. Not the greatest of beers but reasonable for the Aldi price I suppose.

Test vom 19.3.2010, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 11,8,11,10,9,10 - 9,90

leaparsons (8641) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - NOV 18, 2012
Bottle. Pale gold with an initially large foam. Aromas are clean grain and lightly nutty malts with biscuit. Mellow lemon with hints of apricot jam. Bready yeast with some caramel. Flavours are sweet grain malts with dry biscuit. Floral with light jammy fruit. Dry to finish.

Bottle from Aldi. Pours a dark gold colour with a thick white head, aroma has light malt and some grass, the taste is bitter with a thin dry watery finish.

Half Liter Swing Top from Germany. Still better than most low grade American domestics, but definitely my least favorite beer I brought home from Germany. Smells faintly of grain. Copper pour, clear, with a foamy white head - the strong point of the brew. Light and crisp. Pilsener like flavor, grain and a bit of biscuit.

5.0% gold colour with a thin head, slight malt aroma, lager taste but not as bitter as a pills.

Bottle @ Die Kleine Bierstube, Aarhus. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, grainy and light hoppy - straw. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Sweet finish. 271012

DruncanVeasey (7423) - NUNEATON, CONF N, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - OCT 22, 2012
Swing top from Nuneaton/Hinckley Aldi (Aldi tap). Corn, marzipan, grass cuttings and crackers aroma. Alka Selzer and grass on the palate. Poor, vegetal, full of off notes and no better than the house pilsner ’Lowenstein’.
