2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
UPDATED: NOV 26, 2013 Aroma is faint caramel, sweetness and also little bit metallic. Pours very dark brown, almost black with light tan head. Head is nice and stays for some time. Taste: liquid black bread, caramel, hints of sweetness and sourness with watery side taste and very watery aftertaste. Soft almost flat carbonation. Overall: this beer looks better than tastes, the black bread taste is really nice, but everything next to it are really dissapointing. Maybe with some tinkering of the reciepe, this could be good beer, but at the moment, it’s not good.

Bottle. Deep, dark brown, almost black. Light tan colored head. Aroma was a sweet, malty aroma. Love the taste. Very nice sweet and slightly bitter flavor. Good stuff.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Very dark fruit flavored, sweet caramel, very thin bodied brew. Not much like a schwarzbier, maybe a dunkel.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
500ml bottle. Stained glass amber-burgundy body, filtered. Big steady beige head. Cheap Eastern Europe Dark beer aromas..malt extract..syrup. Has that malta thing going on. Let’s not call this a Schwarzbier, because it is such a weak example of that it just isn’t fair. I’ll give it "Dark". Or maybe "Factory Beer". It seems like they import only the cheapest Eastern European beers these days, stuff that probably goes for the better part of a quarter over there. No quality, no style, no finesse. Not quite a drainpour, but certainly not a beer to buy unless you are a real dedicated ticker.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma was feint with caramel and malty notes. Flavor was a bit watery, which is hurting the score. Had a somewhat chocolatey flavor with a bubblegum-like finish. Not bad, but wish the taste popped a bit more.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Swing-top bottle. Dark body, small head. Weak aroma with weak roast and nutiness. Taste has... I really have to try hard to get anything. But this is so watery. Finish has some dry roast and light nuttiness. What I get is not bad but it’s extremely bland. One of the blandest dark beers I have ever had. Did some middlemen water it down and slid the swing top conveniently back on?

Bottle. Pours clear very dark copper brown with airy but stable light tan head. Clear aroma of malt, caramel. fruit and a touch of roast. Bitter, roasty flavour with notes of hops and caramel malt. Watery. Bitter finish. Drinkabæe but not the most exciting Schwarzbier I have ever had.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
0,5L bottle. Light bread aroma. Taste is watery, slimy. Very little is caramel and bread flavor. Must be more tasteful for dark beer.

500ml bottle - gift from Marduk - thanks!
Lovely and dark - tight, but brief, beige head. Anna thinks it’s a little minerally in the aroma, but I’m getting more of the rich dunkel-esque roast. A little watery in the mouth, texture crisp due to quite high carobnation. Pleasant roast. Finish quickly becomes really walnutty and woody. Lovely dry finish, but not without a gentle hint of sweetness too, almost an ashy smokiness. Very easy drinker, a lovely dark dunkel (not as sweet as a typical schwarz). The only flaw would be a little bit too much carbonation, I swirled this a fair bit. A beer made for drinking.
