Liked this one - from local Aldi’s. Nice rich feel and looked wonderfully dark. Rich toasty/malty flavours throughout . Really surprised.

Shared bottle. Black with big light beige head. Light fruits with red apple and apricot, licorice, salmiak, quite herbal and carbonated mineral water. Light sweet and light roasted bitter finish. Medium bodied with almost watery feel. Not bad.

Bottle at Carls Brauhaus, Stuttgart, 08/02/15. Dark mahogany brown with a decent light tan covering. Nose is rich malt, raisens, caramel, light charr, dark fruits, spice. Taste comprises biscuit, toffee, raisens, light spice, cake mix. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Solid Schwarz, plenty of depth for the style.

bottle @ Hugos. Appearance: pours clear dark brown with ok soapy white head and some lacing. aroma/taste: caramel, straw, chocolate, and floral and coffee notes. palette: medium carbonation, thin to medium body, some caramel sweetness, average bitterness, medium duration, and an oily texture. Overall: decent schwarzbier, but somewhat "light"

Czarne piwo, z beżową pianą. Piana szybko zniknęła. W aromacie metal i gdzieś w oddali ciemne słody. Podobnie w smaku. Niska goryczka, średnie wysycenie. Nudne i jałowe do bólu!

500 ml bottle (old rating found in a notebook). Clear, dark brown body, almost black with a moderate sized beige head. Aroma is not particular strong, but quite nice with roasted dark malt and hint of toast. Flavor is quite refreshing, moderate roasted dark malt, some coffee, medium sweet and low bitterness. Medium body and average aftertaste. Refreshing, moderate roasted Shwartzbier, true to the style.

It has a dark brown, can-see-through color. The head is very small and disapears quickly. Aroma and taste are very light and not exciting at all. Light burned notes can’t overcome the dull lager profile. Never again.

Dark brown beer with beige head. Aroma of toasted bread. Taste of roasted malt with a slightly metallic aftertaste.
