COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Very Nice lager. Wish I could try the real thing at the Stuttgart, Volksfest!

Bottle at The Lion, Boreham. Clear golden colour with good white head. Hoppy. Enjoyable but nothing makes it stand out, it’s close to being a pilsner.

Big half liter bottle. One of my least favorite I brought home from Germany. It’s labeled as a Marzen, but this tasted like a run of the mill pilsener. Vinous, grain scent. Golden, clear bubbly pour with a big white head. Light and crisp feel. Vinous, grain flavor, a bit tart on the finish.

Very malty with a musty aroma. taste is of bread and grass. Much better enjoyed in the tent at the Cannstatter fest.

Ein Maß at the Cannstatter Wase. Deep golden color, large fluffy white head with nice lacing. Aroma of black pepper, straw. taste is peppery green hay. Nicer than most Oktoberfest beers.

(bottle) pours a clear golden colour with a frothy white head. aroma of marzipan, caramel and sweet spices, slightly yeasty, with a hint of straw and wood chips. flavour is mostly the same, with notes of barnyard, old yeast, kidney beans and a very light bitter finish. medium-bodied with average carbonation.

Test vom 19.10.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,8,9,9,11,9 - 9,25

Clear golden colour, large white head. Grainy and malty, hints of honey. Solid, but quite light and mild

Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!
Satte goldgelbe Farbe und schöne grobporige Blume. Das Volksfestbier schmeckt sehr malzig, was mich persönlich freut.
