Seems like the Brewmaster was told to make an Oktoberfest style beer, but had to brew it with existing inventory. Beer has a slight toffee aroma. Flavor is sweet, a little malt, and some carbonic tang and that’s about it. Appearance was a small creamy head. Totally forgettable beer. Give the bottle to a homebrewer.

500ml swing top bottle, last new rating from local grocer going out of business, a German beer among the Balkans. Golden Marzen color with lots of bubbles and a thick head. Nose is not only malty, but more like a cereal grain mash that sometimes comes with cheaper German imports. But at least it’s gain and not corn, thank you Reinheitsgebot! Taste, though, is a little bit watery, and there’s a bit of fusel alcohol. But then the fare code is indecipherable, so I can’t say if it’s been on a store shelf for too long. Despite my downgrade on taste, it’s probably pretty good in its homeland, as I hope to one day discover.

clear golden color with nice full lacy head. Very weak malt aroma. Taste is much better but still nothing to write home about either.Has some hints of Sekt in it.Too bitter and carby for a normal Oktoberfest Bier. If the label did not say it was was a Fest beer I would have classed as a below average Pils

Flip-top bottle bought in Germany, amber with a fast-settling head and light aromas of dry hay and caramel. Dry-sweet and a little dusty, with hints of onion and cardboard. Not so good. .

500 mL swingtop bottle. Kind of a dark pee colored pour with a quickly dissipating head. Bready / toasty, malty, medium to lighter palate - but not a lot here for my tastes.

Imported bottle. Reminds me of the traditional fest beers that I had in Germany in the mid 1980s. Aroma is fresh. Light yellow straw color, somewhat lighter than a lot of fest beers. Great taste and blend of hops and malt. Sweet finish. I would buy this again.

* Old rating, best before 03.02.11. Süffiges, leicht getreidiges und leicht süßliches Festbier. Nett.

On tap @ Gourmet Haus Staudt. Clear golden-orange pour with white foam. Sort of grainy and a touch toasty. Spicy and grassy hops. Maybe a little bit of celery. Fairly malt forward flavor. A lot of bread, toast, and grain. Maybe a little bit of apple. Light grassy bitterness on the finish and mild hop flavor.

Das Bier hat eine goldene Farbe und wenig weißen Schaum. Geruch kräftig malzig, würzig, leicht gehopft. Geschmack sehr malzig, leicht süß, dann würzig werdend, Durchschnittsbier!
