Ceramic mug. Golden and hazy. The aroma is minerals and butter....argh...but wait, a new barrel has been tapped! Frabjous day! Thick head. Herbal, woody aroma - where’d that butter go? Minerally, light hops, herbal. Refreshing character. Well, the butter at the end of the old barrel wasn’t good but the fresh barrel is a totally different animal, much better.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Beershine (5173) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - AUG 9, 2009
Holzfass @ the Schwankeller. In krug, with lasting tight off-white head. The aroma is granola, sweeter than it is hoppy with some mineral content. The palate is quaffable, juicy, and oily. Flavors are drier, hoppier, leafier, and grassier than the aromas. More floral than the aroma lets on too. Has black pepper spice in the nice finish. Had a pint with diacetyl issues but they changed the barrel and the fresh pint was fine.

Thanks bierkoning! Golden color, slightly hazy, small white head and some lace. Grainy aroma with some subdued fruityness. Medium-bodied. Grainy with sharp hoppy bitterness and papery maltyness. Long lingering hoppy aftertaste. Also fruity notes with perharps some faint diacetyl. Classic, tasty Kellerbier.
