3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Chicory, toffee, pepper and malt aroma; sweetish/bitterish taste with cream, malt, liquorice and toffee aromas; bitter finish with black toffee, coffee and pepper aromas.
An excellent dark lager that is just about dry enough to be in the schwarzbier style.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle: Dark-amber coloured, smaller fluffy off-white head, rather quickly collapsing; shy dryish-malty/roastmalty nose with a tinge of molasses and fruitiness waving through the backroom; moderate dry bitter (malty9 flavour, light- to medium-bodied, slightly lingering bitter-sweet finish with aromas of liquorice and vinous fruitiness in the aftertaste. Quite good, but seems to be a Schwarzbier.......
