Near black colored with red hints, medium sized light brown head. Dark bready and grainy aroma with sweetness and roasted, even somehow burned note. Medium bodied. Flavor is not so sweet with roastiness in start with mild caramel, aftertaste dries with some hops and cardboard.

Draught at the Feldschlösschen-Stammhaus. It’s dark brown with a red hue and a creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and licorice. The flavour has a light sweetness, notes of roasted malt, caramel and a little licorice. It ends on a dry note.

Good appearance, dark brown and clear. Has an off-white head, fully lasting. Not much aroma, perhaps some malt and notes of something burnt. Flavor starts light sweet and finish moderate bitter.

Bottle from Leipzig dept store. Bottle drank in Hamburg. Nice light notes of grains in aroma and taste. Amazingly refreshing and pleasing characterful malt profile, hops are nestled into subtle harmony. Light palate appropriate for style. As good as the best Köstritzer I’ve had.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden deep brown/redish with a lacing tan head. Dark fruity and roasted malt aroma. Flavour is dark breadish with a light fruity touch - yet somewhat lighter than in the aroma. Mild citric note towards the finish. A nice bitterhops is adding in - yet doesn’t really match the malt flavours all to well. Ends dry, bitter and roasted.
