DerWeg (450), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 3, 2008 Bottle from Leipzig dept store. Bottle drank in Hamburg. Nice light notes of grains in aroma and taste. Amazingly refreshing and pleasing characterful malt profile, hops are nestled into subtle harmony. Light palate appropriate for style. As good as the best Köstritzer I’ve had. yespr (7785), Copenhagen O, Denmark Aug 17, 2008 50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden deep brown/redish with a lacing tan head. Dark fruity and roasted malt aroma. Flavour is dark breadish with a light fruity touch - yet somewhat lighter than in the aroma. Mild citric note towards the finish. A nice bitterhops is adding in - yet doesn’t really match the malt flavours all to well. Ends dry, bitter and roasted. FrankJohansen (2876), Sabro, Denmark Jun 25, 2008 Bottle. Clear dark brownish colour with a medium light brown head. Aroma adn taste of rasted matls, caramel and licorice. Light bodied.
