Maria (3963), Thisted, Denmark May 10, 2008 From tap at the brewpub. Dark golden with a huge, dens head. The aroma has notes of caramel and malt. The flavour has a light sweetness, notes of caramel, malt and a light grapefruit-like bitterness. IMO it’s a bit out of balance and the flavour is quickly gone, but the bitterness lasts a bit longer.
omhper (10393), Stockholm, Sweden Aug 11, 2008 Draught at the brewpub. Clear orange/nut brown with creamy head. Perfumy nose with some sugar and roasty malt. Medium bodied with rounded inviting mouthfeel. A bit soapy and caramelly with grassy bitterness. Well balanced. kappldav123 (948), Markkleeberg, Germany Jun 9, 2008 The bottle looks really good, the beer in the glass also. Quite dark, nice head. Tastes sourish-fruity, very interesting. Finish a little bit malty. Really good beer! MoritzF (3690), Ruhrpott, Germany Jul 23, 2007 (bottle, bought at the brewery, filled, capped and labelled in front of me & draught at the Bierkeller) Clear, copper colour with a short off-white foamy head. Sweet, slightly toasty and nutty nose with subtle honeyish fruity notes, toffee, a touch of liquorice spice and well-balanced herbal hops. Aromatic toasty malt-accented taste with toffee, honey and a present herbal blend. Sweet-bitter, toasty and herbal hoppy, almost lingering finish. Well-balanced Franconian Lager. One should try to get it fresh, at best from the tap at the brewery or the Bierkeller. duff (5404), Sydney, Australia, Surrey, England Mar 16, 2007 Bottle. This has some full on diaceetyl. sweet and buttery. with grainy, bready malt notes also noticed. Not very good.
