omhper (10950), Stockholm, Sweden Aug 11, 2008 Draught at the brewpub. Clear orange/nut brown with creamy head. Perfumy nose with some sugar and roasty malt. Medium bodied with rounded inviting mouthfeel. A bit soapy and caramelly with grassy bitterness. Well balanced. harrisoni (5474), Ashford, Kent, England Dec 18, 2006 Bottle at Pig’s Ear BF. Copper colour with a bit of haze. Thin off white head. Aroma has a bit of diacetyl. Some nuttiness. Bit of toffee. Not a big fan of this. duff (5407), Sydney, Australia, Surrey, England Mar 16, 2007 Bottle. This has some full on diaceetyl. sweet and buttery. with grainy, bready malt notes also noticed. Not very good. bierkoning (5077), La Tropica, Netherlands May 30, 2005 Bottle, bought at the brewery. Yes, this very much local brewery bottles his beer. 4,5% on the label. Amber color. Caramelly, buttery aroma. A clear barnyard smell. Medium bodied. Sweetish, malty, caramelly flavor. A somewhat dirty palate. Far from perfect beer, but you probabaly have to taste it from tap, like Pivnizub did. But being the designated driver, that sadly wasn’t possible. Maria (4743), Thisted, Denmark May 10, 2008 From tap at the brewpub. Dark golden with a huge, dens head. The aroma has notes of caramel and malt. The flavour has a light sweetness, notes of caramel, malt and a light grapefruit-like bitterness. IMO it’s a bit out of balance and the flavour is quickly gone, but the bitterness lasts a bit longer.
