Mahogany with no head nor lace. Smells like unfermented wort with caramel. Strong roast and caramel malts in the flavor with a bit of brown sugar.

A solid dunkle. Roasted malts, slightly sweet. What more do you want? I was satisfied with this beer as a decent winter brew ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Bier-Advent Kalender, Switzerland; 6.4% ABV
Dark amber color, hazy, with compact head. The aroma is simple, as often happens for most Bocks, but it has a good body strength, the flavor is based on caramel, it’s moderately sweet, and it has a nutty character.
Pleasant Bock.

bartlebier (3217) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - JUN 27, 2015
33cl bottle Bb07/2015, danke idiosynkrasie for the tastefully mixed taster of dunkels und darks. - (Label: "Slow brewing") - Upfront malt roasts, coarsely toasted: Schwarzbrot, nuts, liquorice candy caramel, sesame oil. Taste, alas, sees cow fodder and overpowering barley husk become the basso continuo for weak flourishes of milk chocolate, stewed maroni and more sesame oil to play off. A strange coarser grain-husky bitterness also soils the finish, hence not an entirely graceful classic here.

Idiosynkrasie (5951) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - DEC 24, 2013
330ml bottle. Clear dark brown colour with small, frothy, half-way lasting, off-white head. Dark malty, malt-spicy aroma, hints of roast, a nuttily touch. Taste is moderately sweet caramel malty, dry and bitter hoppy overtones; relatively light, slightly watery. Simple, slightly anaemic for a Bock but would pass as a decent Dunkel.
