MoritzF (8389) - Bochum, GERMANY - JAN 27, 2010
(swing top bottle) Hazy, slightly ruby brown coloured hue with floaties and a big and beige, also dense foamy head. Sweet and yeasty toasty malty aroma with notes of caramel, dark chocolate and shades of hops. Slightly bitter flavour, rather light bodied with a soft carbonation. Toasty malt-accented taste with caramel, a whiff of chocolate and rounded herbal notes; moderately dry hoppy and toasty bitter finish. 27.I.10

Ungstrup (29017) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - MAR 15, 2009
Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of fruit, and so is the flavor, though added notes of caramel and bread, leading to a dry bready finish.

faroeviking (10293) - FAROE ISLANDS - DEC 29, 2008
Botella. Unclear amber brown colour. Medium light brown creamish head. Nutty, caramel and well toasty malty aroma. Rather thin mouthfeel. The flavour has toasted malt and caramel, some nuts and brown sugar, bitter hops and chocolate. reminds me more of a brown ale than a dunkel.

beerinmarch (2830) - Washington, USA - JUL 13, 2008
From the bottle this pours brown with a soft beige head. Very watery on the palate, to soft to bring a lot of flavors through. Earthy toward the finish. The roastiness was there, but not very strong, lacked a nice smoothness that I like in dunkles. Overall I just thought this was to watery, bland flavors.

Draft at the brewpub. Sweet and grainy maltyness in the aroma, light hops. Reddish to brown body with a small off-white head. Malty flavor, light caramel, some light hops in the end. Very drinkable.
