(swing top bottle, Schweinsbräu Gold, 4.8% abv, brewed by Riedenburger) Hazy, golden coloured hue with lots of floaties and a short, slightly tanned foamy head. Sweet and bready cara-malty aroma with notes of biscuits and a tinge of herbal hops. Sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Cara-malty, bready and slightly biscuity taste with shades of honey and shy herbal hoppy notes, getting slightly stronger towards the medium-dry, malt-accented finish with shy herbal hoppy notes. Drinkable. 19.I.10

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 eczematic (1304) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - OCT 10, 2001
Beautifully balanced Munich Hell from a biodynamic farm-brewery near Munich. Yeasty (only lightly filtered), creamy in texture, and sumptuous. Deep golden colour. Not much bitterness, accent is on the sharp yeastiness vs. the full maltiness. It was so good I had to buy the matching glass with the pig with pearls on it.
