Pour is a dark brown with a huge white head. Aroma is a nice clove and banana with some fruity esters. Flavor is again with the typical but nice clove and banana and finishes with some earthy wheat. This was a solid hefe.

500 mL capped bottle from Whole Foods Market Charlottesville. Pours a hazy amber with a very large offwhite head that fades quickly. Lots of visible carbonation. Aroma of clove, bubblegum, bread, caramel, banana. The taste is bread, banana, citrus, clove, caramel, faint herbal hops. Medium bodied. Decent.

Bügelverschlußflasche (label says: brewed by Riedenburger): Light amber coloured, hazy to cloudy, slowly collapsing off-white head; sourish-caramelly nose with some fruity (dried fruits, too) undertones; pretty light bodied for a beer of 5,2%, sourish-sweetish flavour; lemony and slightly clovey finish. Inglorious......

(swing top bottle) Cloudy, chestnut-brown colour with a mid-sized off-white frothy head. Sweet toast-malty aroma with moderate wheat-character, notes of caramel and shy fruity hints of banana. Slightly sour and sweet flavour, pretty slim bodied with a moderate carbonation. Slim toasty and wheaty taste with notes of caramel, citrus and traces of banana; moderately dry, again pretty slim and slightly toasty and fruity finish. Lacks body, otherwise a drinkable Dunkelweizen. 06.I.10

Bottlled. An unclear dark golden beer with a fast collapsing of white head. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw and malt, leading to a dry and bitter finish. Thanks KimJohansen for sharing.
