Great-looking beer, with a sandy lacing off the foamy light tan head. Reddish-brown body is luminous. Aromas, too, are enticing: yeasts, light toast, chocolate, brown sugar. The flavor profile is less flexible, unfortunately, with an emphasis on the toaty malts, giving up much of the yeast and sweetness on the tripel-like nose. Still, a solid alt, quaffable and light.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 thedm (4116) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - JAN 12, 2006
UPDATED: OCT 2, 2006 This bottled brew poured a small sized head of frothy off white colored mostly lasting bubbles that left behind a transparent brown colored softly carbonated body and a poor lacing. The aroma was mild with malty and hoppy notes that were also accompanied by a dirty sock note. The mouth feel was initially smooth and mildly tingly in the finish. It had a smooth mild malt hop flavor.
