3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 yngwie (8717) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - SEP 1, 2009
Bottle. It’s a clear, dark brown beer with a diminishing, creamy, two-finger beige head. Caramel, dried fruits and some faint notes of cellar in the aroma. Nice but a bit weak. Dried fruits, raisins mostly, caramel and roasted notes in the mouth. Silky, medium body. Caramel in the finish. Overall it’s a quite decent beer, caramel driven, but not very interesting. Get’s a bit one-dimensional. 090707
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 GG (1980) - NorCal, California, USA - AUG 6, 2009
I did not have my beer out of the swing-top bottle, but instead it was out of the stubby bottle. Body was a medium-dark brown cloudy color with a scan off-white head. Aroma is mostly caramel malts with a thin dark fruit character. Body is a touch off with a watered down raisin/caramel flavor. Nothing really special about this one.
