Bottle. Clear medium brown color with a average fizzy fair lacing off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, dark bread, roasted, molasses, caramel. Initaial flavor is moderate sweet, finish flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finsh feel is light metalic.

Bottled. A dark amber beer with a medium tan head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel, but also a light note of straw, leading to a dry bitter finish. The body is a bit thin. Thanks yespr.

UPDATED: OCT 14, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) Weak in alcohol but rich in flavor. Almost mahogany color. Malty and quite hoppy. I’m not an expert on "Alt" but this seems to be a typical representative. 011203

UPDATED: MAY 2, 2008 50 cL bottle, trade with DerDobbelbock - cheers. Pours dark brown with a lacing off-white head. Light fruity, light acidic aroma. Flavour is fruity, light acidic, roasted. Ends with a roasted malt flavour and light acidity.6-3-6-3-12=3.0

50 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a little dense off-white head. Spiced hops aroma, light acid and towards dry. Flavour is dry malty, light bitter. Ends slight herbal and roasted.6-3-6-3-12=3.0

Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is nutty, sweet maltyness, and some earth cellar. Flavour is caramel malts, crystal malts, some mild nutty notes as well as some mild wood. Very pleasant and actually gets better when it gets closer to room temperature.

Bottle, 4.2%. Hint of sweet malt in aroma. Clear dark chestnut colour. Small light brown head. The flavour is quite roasted, getting a little citric. Hint of soy. The mouthfeel is a little thin.

clear dark ruby red, wispy beige head, specks of lace, huge sweet dark caramel malt aroma with a huge caramelized sugar character, sweet and fruity malt flavor, nice dark fruits, light bitterness adds a touch of balance,
