Grima (1200) - Saarburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - FEB 7, 2012
Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!

Test vom 7.12.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche

Koelschtrinker (6544) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUN 7, 2011
Geht. Test vom 23.4.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,8,7,7,7,7 - 7,25

Bottled from Aachen. Deep dark amber color with thick creamy light beige head. Caramel nose. Aroma is malts with a healthy dose of hops. Flavour is caramel, malts and hops. Soft bitter finish. OK but too exciting.

500ml Bottle. Pours a amber color with medium, thin head. Aroma is weak but of caramel and some floral hops. Taste is a nice roasted malt followed up with a decent amount of sweetness. A bit of orange and grassy hops is also evident. It is light on the palate with a long-lasting, sweet aftertaste. A nice example of a Vienna lager.

bottle - thanks to bu11zeye Run of the mill lager - not great for Germany but still better than America’s most popular beers.
