Bottle: Dark amber coloured, mid sized firm head, cloudy; fruity nose (the old bananas-cloves aroma, as usual), dried fruit also, some vinous notes, some maltiness; slightly malty and fruity taste, bitter-fruity, a bit drier, soft finish. Nearly full bodied, soft, quite good !

<i>&#40;swing top bottle, 1,0 l&#41;</i> Murky amber colour with some red shades and a big rocky off-white head. Dusty fruity nose with some toasted malts. Soft carbonated toasted malty taste with a touch of caramel and a lasting quite bitter & clove-spicy finish. This one has a well defined bitterness-fruitiness ratio. Good.

<b>Bottled. Only in 1 l bottles. </b>Pours a reddish brown colour, which is quite cloudy. Has a medium, though quickly diminshing head. Aroma is full of banana and bubblegum with notes of cloves and gingerbread. Taste is dominated by banana. Also quite prevalent are bubblegum, cloves and gingerbread flavours. Sweetish. The finish is a tad watery, maybe. Not much carbonation. Which leads me to mention that there seems to be no yeast sediment in the bottle. The little head, seems to confirm that. That makes sense with regard to the 1 l bottle, as a decent weizen has to be poured out all at once, to get that yeast to spread through the weizen. On the other hand no bottle conditioning means no good head, less carbonation. Still, I found this to be a decent tasting dunkelweizen, which could be better and more refreshing if they would bottle it in 0.5l bottles and have some bottle-conditioning in there.
