From a 500 ml. swing-top bottle, best before date on the back label, sampled in a pilsener glass. Poured a clear golden with a tight foamy white head that slowly settled into a thin sudsy lacing, a steady flow of tiny micro bubbles, a good looking start. Aromas of bready dough, a little mineral salt, and lightly floral. Good carbonation and a crisp medium body, dry white bread maltiness, a grainy twang, herbal and spicy hops that provide at soft bitterness at the end, a dry saltine and powdery biscuit finish. A good German pilsener, quite refreshing on this hot, humid July day, if I could make one buying recommendation, really for all the beers from this brewery, check the freshness dates on the back labels, needless to say, you want this as fresh as possible, don’t buy if past it’s best before date, I think you will find it has gone flat.

.5 litre swing-top brown bottle from Florian’s. Crystal-clear straw-yellow body with a quarter inch of white head. Smells awesome - European hops and biscuit malt, very sweet. Biscuit and caramel malt are balanced by European hops. Definitely sweet with slight toastiness. Light crisp body with slightly less carbonation than expected. Very drinkable though, one sip definitely invites another and before I realized, the bottle was gone. The best pils I’ve had to date.

UPDATED: APR 2, 2008 Poured from a purdy 1/2 liter bottle. Decent head with some lacing and clear golden beer. Fizzy on the tongue. Dry, tasty hops with bite to them. If rating to type (Pilsener) this would score higher.

Generic Pilsner. Light aroma, with a slight grassy hint to it. Flavor is grassy, with a bit of hops. I do have to admit it was pretty refreshing, but that’s about it. Comes in a nice bottle, which is always a plus.

Pours a clear bright gold with a big soft white head that diminishes too quickly. Aroma is earthy, like rain water and freshly mown grass. Taste is a bouquet of mild pale malt sweetness, bread dough, and just a hint of grassy hop bitterness. Nothing extraordinary, but a clean and refreshing example of the style.

A Mes rate: 50cl bottle. Ok it’s a pils. I’m not gonna wax lyrical because... well you just can’t usually can you? That said it was a nice clean and hoppy German Pilsner. Rather tasty and characterful for a pils.

German malt and saaz hop aroma. A soapy head with lace on light to medium yellow. Taste is smooth but it is the enigma of saaz hops that is hard on my mouthfeel. A bit light mouthfeel though not watery. Passable pils but still not the one to chase after.

Clear golden yellow body with a medium frothy white head. Sweet honey aroma with some grassy hops. Sweet honey flavor, slightly grainy with some llight grassy hops. Somewhat sharp finish.
