3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 porterhouse (1482) - Alna, Maine, USA - APR 27, 2007
(330 ml bottle from <A HREF=http://www.ratebeer.com/Place/maine/portland/ target=blank>Downeast Beverage Co.) Dryish and honeyish...Clear pale honey-yellow. Foamy white head. Sweet honeyish malt aroma. Mouthfeel light, dryish. Flavor is mildly sweet, light honey-malty and very light breadiness. Finishes with a light bitterness. Nothing really stands out but pretty good.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 CheersBabe (62) - USA - APR 24, 2007
I am not a fan of pilsners but this was a better than the domestic crap you see everyday. It had the normal initial characteristics of a pils but actually it was very smooth and ended with a bit of flavor. Unfortunatly this is a pricey beer so I would not recommend buying it.

Bottle - Poured a clear golden color with a white head. Aroma of malt and bread. Flavor was crisp, malty and slightly bitter. A faint sweetness underlies the beer.
2.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 shrubber85 (4843) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - MAR 2, 2007
UPDATED: JUL 13, 2009 Bottle. Grassy barley malt aroma. Clear golden yellow color with moderate head. Slightly sweet barley malt flavor with a moderate hay hops finish. Light palate. Decent but not much body - average. Bottle bought in the states had a strong metallic flavor/aroma as well.

Swing top bottle poured a clear yellow with a small diminishing white head. Aromas of bread, earthiness and a hint of citrus. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of bread, straw and noble hops with a lingering bitter finish.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 detroiter (958) - Euphoria, Minnesota, USA - JAN 14, 2007
Pours a bright golden straw color, topped by at least an inch of white foam. A little bit of spotty lacing. Mildly sweet aroma.
Hmmm... This is pretty tasty. A smooth malt presence, lightly sweet with a little caramel, combined with a sweet hay flavor. A little zesty citrus spice from the hops in the finish. Not quite medium body and gentle carbonation. this beer is, however, exceptionally soft and smooth.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 GG (1980) - NorCal, California, USA - JAN 12, 2007
I can see that this beer would be a fantastic summertime beer, as it was a bit out of place drinking it during the wintertime. Still, it was an extremely refreshing, clean tasting beer. Aroma of hay and grass, and quite a bit sweet actually. Appearance is a golden yellow color, nice head with little lacing. Flavors were on the sweet side for a pils, but it still maintained the grassy/hay hoppyness. It was slightly oxidized, but it didn’t detract in any way really. In the end, what you have is a classic German pilsner. Highly drinkable, crisp and clean and enjoyable.
