Full-bodied, very malty and sweet-ish, hints of roasted malt, caramel and dried fruit, especially apple. Slightly hoppy only. Very pleasant soft and velvety-creamy mouthfeel, lovely soft carbonation. Lingering finish with hints of toffee, caramel and dried fruit. A superb Doppelbock.

Sweet caramel and fruity lingering finish. pivnizub (4007), Porúří, Germany May 31, 2008 Bottle: Clear, chestnut-amber coloured, no head to speak of; moderate, clean, nutty and dark-malty nose with a light tinge of alcohol; solid sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied, soft MF, a bit oily/sticky; caramel, dark malt in the sweet finish, citrousy hops detectable in the aftertaste. Easy drinking, all in all pleasant and "harmless" Doppelbock..........
