A very pleasant drinking ale, with a fairly "generic" flavour, lacking the complex malt profile of a true scotch ale. The aroma vaguely malty, with something like a brett character (hard to tell after all the french cheese I’ve been eating). The flavour is nicely malty with a lingering bitterness (slight harshness) in the aftertaste. Combined with a medium body, this is very easy to drink, but I wouldn’t rave about it.

On tap at Graspop Metal Meeting. Served very cold. Dark brown colour, beige head. Aroma of brown sugar, hint of chocolate, some plums. Flavour is more brown sugar, cola, some chocolate, light bitter finish, light fruity. Light-bodied. Not much going on here.

Deep dark red body with low head. Aroma is caramel with cocoa notes, licorice, cold coffee. Taste has coffee sweetness, with low earthy bitternes. Body is full, high carbonation.

9/III/14 - 25cl bottle from Carrefour supermarket @ home - BB: 4/III/14 (2014-265)

Clear purple to red brown beer, small aery beige irregular head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: caramel, sugary, banana, bit metallic, grains, some chocolate. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: lots of caramel, some chocolate, banana, little bitter, mocha. Aftertaste: mocha, caramel, some alcohol, little sour, sweet, sugary, more chocolate, banana, some bitter hoppy touch. Actually not as bad as I had feared!

Bottle from Mam and Dad’s holiday, France. This is a dark copper coloured beer with a sweet malty, red fruit and sugary flavour, chocolate notes and a sweet, slight nutty finish.

StueyD (1110) - Heacham, Norfolk, ENGLAND - NOV 10, 2013
A dark, reddish-orange coloured beer with a thick off white head. A strangely light aroma, roasted malt, slightly yeasty, but nothing outstanding. Dry and medium bodied mouthfeel. A sour yeasty taste to start, then a slightly sweeter fruit flavour, bubblegum and floral. There is a hint of malt in the background. The finish is a bit lacking, slightly sour and yeasty.

Very dark brown body with a nice holding fluffy head. Roasted malts, mostly sweet. Not to bad, but simple and nothing interesting.

Brune ambrée foncée, effervescence légère, peu de mousse beige. Malts caramel vaguement rôtis, aqueuse, un rien fruitée, un rien réglissée. Bof, bof...

Troche slabienkie i malo wyraziste piwo w stylu Scotch Ale. Piana ladna wysoka jak na Belgie przystalo. Kolor brazowawo bursztynowy. Zapach ulotny i w zasadzie zaden. W smaku lekko karmelizowane. Alkoholu jakby nie bylo.
