on tap at volo quite some time ago.
i recall it looking good, and having and aroma of grains, and malt.
flavour was bitter, definite hoppiness to it. nice biscuity malt in the background. pootzboy (900), Calgary/ Kitchener, Alberta, Canada Oct 4, 2006 on tap at the Judge:
Tapped a lightly hazed yellow colored ale in the pint glass....smallish white cap reduced to a surface lace quickly.
Light understated aromas of grain and citrus, toffee, some light mustiness
Light body, minimal malt spine, fluid mouth feel and a thin biscuity charater.
Up front you get a sweet toffee-biscuit decenment then the body goes weak and washes away to a clean finish where the hops show up to add light bittering.
A very thirst busting light summer ale, a tad thin in body but the biscuity malts carry the palate over that detraction.....a well made light summer ale that you can down by the pint. Nekronos (2017), Xalapa, Mexico Sep 15, 2006 Good beer, a little weird the names from this brewery, but very bitter, somewhat yellow good aroma, and good foam too. A little heavy to drink after a while, but good aftertaste too. rudolf (1572), Buffalo, New York, USA May 28, 2006 tap @ volo. Lightish gold, thin head. Nose is dusty malt, butterscotch. Flavor is english hops, lightly toasted maltg, maybe some honey. tiggmtl (4178), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Aug 17, 2005 Mild citrus and leafy hops with underlying caramel malts. Clear, deep golden coloured body with low, white, fully-diminishing head. Grainy malts and herbal, grassy, earthy hops with fair finishing bitterness. Somewhat simple - there’s not much to grab you. Medium-light body with moderately prickly carbonation. Somewhat watery in texture. Draft with muzzlehatch, Olivier MTL and Rastacouere at the Winking Judge in Hamilton.
