Scotch Irish Mocha Brown

Rich coffee aroma, dark chocolate, darkest brown, red at the edges. Good taste of roasted malt, fine coffee and dark chocolate. Medium bodied, well balanced, bitter and sour. Terrific! Keep up the fine work Perry!

Sample @ C’est, where it was called "Downtown" Mocha Brown. Kinda funky -- a distinct scent of bodily fluid. Slightly sweet and mild, with great lingering roasted coffee notes. Zero head, but apparently that wasn’t the brewer’s fault. Give it another shot, Perry!

Cask (gravity dispensed) at Volo, had a pint with blankboy after Jan’s. Deep dark brown, no head. Nice malty brown ale aroma with espresso hints. Taste features mild chocolate, mocha, coffee Deep tasty stuff, but the lack of carbonation hurt it - it was tough to slug through a pint, it could have used some life I think. But hey, Perry’s the man, serving us geeks with flavorful brews in a bland wasteland (but getting better in part thanks to him) - thanks Perry, this was flavorful and neat to try!

Cask at CW. Very dark brown body, no head, almost black. Aroma is quite roasty, light underlying mocha (7+). Flavour is coffee dominant, roasty, with lingering mocha in the finish and aftertaste. Smooth medium palate is lacking in carbonation, and would likely take it up a notch with appropriate carbonation. Very nice. Well done!

Cask (gravity dispensed) at Volo. Pours dark brown, almost black, with no head at all. Aroma of caramel malt, mild mocha and a hint of coffee. Slightly watery flavour of light coffee, caramel malt and faint hops. Average bodied. I think this beer would be better served on draught, it’s pretty lifeless this way, but as is it’s still a well made beer and pleasant enough.
