Dark, woody brown with smallish ring on top.3-

Smooth clean, well roasted beans . Good, clean fresh coffee aroma. Good, not as dry as top mocha goes but it’s up there. Neat brown malt base.

For true coffee lovers this is excellent choice. Brown malts go well with rich coffee character that grows well o your palate. Chocolate, cocoa noted as well. Very good mocha beer that I would like to see as regular beer from this brewery
jerc (3268), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 29, 2007 Cask at CW. Very dark brown body, no head, almost black. Aroma is quite roasty, light underlying mocha (7+). Flavour is coffee dominant, roasty, with lingering mocha in the finish and aftertaste. Smooth medium palate is lacking in carbonation, and would likely take it up a notch with appropriate carbonation. Very nice. Well done! Sammy (3241), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 27, 2007 Mocha brown colour, the aroma and the taste is one-dimensional coffee.A bit of mollassess and malt, but it could use lots more malt.and preferably other flavorings. Coffee taste is so-so, and I normally don’t drink cold coffee even it’s spiked. A little watery. Fresh cask at Volo Cafe.
blankboy (2687), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 29, 2007 Cask (gravity dispensed) at Volo. Pours dark brown, almost black, with no head at all. Aroma of caramel malt, mild mocha and a hint of coffee. Slightly watery flavour of light coffee, caramel malt and faint hops. Average bodied. I think this beer would be better served on draught, it’s pretty lifeless this way, but as is it’s still a well made beer and pleasant enough. DougShoemaker (2619), Toronto, Canada Aug 28, 2007 Rich coffee aroma, dark chocolate, darkest brown, red at the edges. Good taste of roasted malt, fine coffee and dark chocolate. Medium bodied, well balanced, bitter and sour. Terrific! Keep up the fine work Perry!
