Interesting flavour combination of grapefruit, spruce, vanilla and icing sugar. Unfortunately I found the beer lacking in excitement. It seemed flat or muted. I prefer my Hop Head or the seasonal IPA from Brewsters. Lou18 (1353), West Paterson, New Jersey, USA

The taste is hoppy, but not smack you around, More grapefruit and lemon, Very pleasant after taste. Quite a nice beer, Thanks Jerc! 1FastSTi (2557), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 13, 2006 Trade from jerc. The beer pours to a nice orange bronze body with a cool white head that looks rocky and leaves gorgeous airy lacing all over the glass. The aroma is really strong and full of grapefruits, Chinook hops, pine, and has subtle floral qualities. Smell is wonderful. The flavor is quite unique. Grapefruit rinds, biscuits, bitter hop oils. Quite a good brew. The palate is medium bodied, full of oils, and has a generic bitterness. I’d say it’s much higher than 68 IBU’s...If this was available in the U.S. more easily, I’d buy a sixer now and then. Eructoblaster (1480), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 7, 2005 Bottle. Nice amber body with moderate carbonation. Its off-white foamy head is thick and lasting. Pleasant and relatively complex malty/hoppy aroma with roasty, spicy and fruity (mainly raisin) notes. Enjoyable hoppy taste with these grapefruit hints that are typical to the west coast hops. Ends with a sharp and long bitter finish. This very good IPA is probably one of Ontario’s best beers. The flavor is sweet grassy combined with slight notes of metal and citrus. blank (998), Washington, Washington DC, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 12, 2005 Bottle thanks to Argo0: Midly hazy copper-bronze body with a medium beige head. The aroma is hops (pine, sap, earth, resin) without being overwhelmingly bitter - in fact it’s fairly mild as far as IPA’s go. The taste has plenty of fruit notes, grassy/pine hops, biscuit-like malt, and a hint of salty/bitter yeast. I like beers that shows off a hint of yeast without detracting from the flavors. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, good hop aroma and flavor without the bite. Nuffield (2721), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Sep 11, 2005 Copper with moderate head production, a few bubbles in the body. Gentle hop aroma, suggesting good malt balance, pine character dominant. Moderate bitterness, peppery bite, somewhat flat palate, moderately oily. Thanks Argo0 for letting me have it out of his fridge.
