Pours dark amber with a thin, big-bubbled white head. This has a great benchmark IPA flavor- a strong and long on the tongue bitter bite. The bitternesss lasts long after the last swallow. Really good. cyrenaica (440), Milton, Ontario, Canada

I tried this beer on May 26, 2008 at "Smokeless Joe’s" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a translucent reddish-brown colour with a thin white head, that was bubbly. The aroma was malty with some caramel and spicy hints, with a slight hoppy hint. The mouthfeel was medium bodied with medium carbonationn, and a dry bitter finish. The flavour was full of citrusy and grapefruity hoppiness, with a little malty tinge. A very good beer, although I would have liked more of a hoppy aroma. yumyum (122), barrie, Ontario, Canada

Firm grassy, citric hopbitter flavor with sweet Cantaloup melon. Firm grassy hopbitter aftertaste. Balance is lacking just a bit, but flavors and aromas are nice. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 6, 2008 On tap at Castle on King. Amber-orange (in dim lighting) with a modest white head. Sweet aroma of flowers, cherry, almonds - noticeably nutty. Flavour has pine and grapefruit. The malts are definitely shoved out of the way. Earth is present. Feels ’heavier’ in taste than most other IPA’s I’ve had. Medium to heavy body with a creamy texture. Leaves a dry mouth and lingering hops. Tasty, but I’d hoped for more complexity. altonbrownd (1891), Amsterdam, Netherlands

Some malt, caramel, chocolates. Also quite bitter. Nice prickly finish. Gregis (1132), Shawnee, Kansas, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 20, 2008 Pours a clear amber with an obscene amount of dense, frothy, off-white, root beer float-like head. A third of the bottle yields a full glass of foam on a gentle pour. You had better have a book on-hand or something else to do while you wait for this one to settle. On the nose are: fruity hops, bubblegum and caramel malt. Light to medium-bodied and slick (almost flat) with a dry, bitter finish. The flavor is of fruity, floral hops and bubblegum, finishing abruptly bitter. This tastes like a blend of a German hefe and a British IPA.; interesting but a bit odd. It certainly delivers on hop bitterness but almost at the exclusion of any balance, whatsoever. It’s unique, but it’s not really my bag. Imperial-John (156), Mississauga, Ontario, Canada

Had it about 6 months ago and was not impressed but this one went down much better. Nice hoppy aroma, clear reddish orange with a foamy white quickly disappearing head. Hoppy dry with just the right bitterness. Very similar to the US IPAs except light on flavour.
