Ungstrup (11702), Frederiksberg, Denmark Dec 4, 2005 A hazy orange beer with a nice orange head. The aroma is sweet grassy and hoppy. The flavor is sweet grassy combined with slight notes of metal and citrus. Papsoe (11073), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 3, 2006 (Bottle 34,1 cl) Hazy, amber golden with a small, rough, off-white head. Aroma of caramel and citrusy aroma hops. Medium-bodied with some caramel and then a dry - but not overly refined - aroma hopping with some citrus. A bit boring. 290806 Oakes (7032), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Apr 28, 2002 Dark amber; richly hoppy, resiny aroma and palate. Hops are almost sticky, and there are tons of ’em. The best part is, after all the hops, you get a little touch of malt in the end to mellow it out. That way you make sure to order another. argo0 (6284), Washington DC, USA Jul 22, 2002 Updated: Aug 10, 2003Powerful cascade taste and smell. At last, Canada 'gets' the APA. Aggressive, a bit unbalanced, but overall a good beer. Rastacouere (5418), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Jan 6, 2005 12oz Bottle, thanks to Lubiere Big C-hops aroma emanates from the glass in a piney and woody fashion (columbus? chinook?). Appearance is a filtered gold to amber with a small, but lasting off-white head. Grapefruit and pine flavors with a flavor profile geared toward hops. Concentrated grassiness seems to blend into an almost biscuity very subdued malt character. Crisp mouth presence, refreshing light-medium body. Rather mineralic water brings a salty touch to the highly bitter and citric finish. American in nature and doing good at what it aims.
