1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20

Quickly thinning head on amber. Slightly sour grainy aroma. Ash and lemon flavour does not a session make.

1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
Bright golden crystal clear coloured body with a super large and soapy (not dense) white head. Aroma of pale malt, fake sugars, light hops and cardboard - not much nice going through this. Light-bodied; Fresh malty flavour with a tiny bit of hops in the mix and very little else - nothing too pleasant. Aftertaste is pale and not pleasant, perhaps nice in a hot day, but I don’t see many of these up north. I sampled this 341 stubby small bottle purchased from the LCBO in downtown Ottawa, Ontario, Canada on 08-April-2009, sampled at home, south of the border in Washington on 26-May-2009.

1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
I’ve come to realize this was actually new to me despite having been under the belief that I’d had it already on tap, however I was wrong. I’ve had this casked, and bottled, so I think it know it pretty well now. And it’s not very pretty. I hear it’s awesome fresh, but to me that doesn’t excuse how awful it is anywhere outside of the Ottawa area. A light orange coloured ale, which upon first sniff promises nothing less than total disappointment in parting with whatever you paid for it. Putrid sour spoiled malts over British hops that are screaming bloody murder for rescue from this pathetic pit of despair. The worst thing about it, is that for a fleeting moment before the sourness hits, you’re almost led to believe this might be decent. It isn’t. Throw in some wet dog that must of swam around in the fermenters or something, and you get one hell of a bastardized version of something Perry Mason used to do well when Heritage still had him as brewmaster. Good God. If it seems like I’m being too harsh, I don’t really care, this product could not possibly be more offensive to me than it already is.

0.8 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20
Stubby bottle with a little white Scottie dog on the label. The actual label says "Stuart’s Natural Session Ale", and it is designated a "light beer" with 3.7% ABV. It pours a clear light golden with a foamy white short-lived head. Aroma is fucking god-aweful. It smells like diarrhea. Actually, it smells more like pig manure. The flavour is weak and grainy, and in no way does this resemble a bitter. Heinous drainpour.
