| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 4, 2006 Bottle: Pitch black in color, moderate to large light brown head, foamy, fairly nice lacing. Dark roasty malt aroma, slight hop bitterness, a touch of lactose and campfire or charred wood.   Sweet roasted malt up front, a bit tart and twangy on the backside. Average Imperial Stout overall. Not that heavy, moreso a step between imperial and a standard stout. Sweet malty finisih, roasty, very slight appleskin. Thanks Jeremy for the bottle

Aroma of bitter chocolate and hard roasted malt. Medium body with a light tartness and some sweetish bon-bon-like accents - like vitamin C lozenges?? Lightly bitter malt finish. Thanks to presario for this small gem. 020606 shadey (1496), Rochester, New York, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 18, 2006 Pitch balck color with a dark tan thin head of swirls. Chocolatey roast aroma with some dark fruit. Flavor is a good match with more of the slightly sour, ripe dark fruit character. A sweeter imperial, but nice. | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 18, 2006 Updated: Jun 7, 2006Thank you, Hogtown Harry for sending this in our trade. The pour was ebony with a 1-finger dark brown head. The aroma was huge roasty malts, chocoff, corn flakes, molasses, some hops, and some figs and prunes. The flavor was dark roasty malty, with a big chocoff and molasses flavor, backed up with some jalapeno oils, cacao, tobacco, and brown sugar. Very rich, smooth palate, while retaining a great smoothness. Ughsmash (3999), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 12, 2006 Bottled, thanks to HogTownHarry. Poured a beautiful black with a short cap of loose bubbly mocha head. Deeply roasted coffee, dark chocolate, raisins, figs, and licorice provide a very nice nose. Flavor has a heavy licorice and chocolate base with coffee bitterness around the tongue and some alcohol in warmth at the finish. Leafy bitterness finds the finish as well. Medium-heavy bodied with only a mediocre transition across the palate. Solid brew that I’d certainly drink again. Quevillon (1523), Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec, Canada
