Medium body with a light tartness and some sweetish bon-bon-like accents - like vitamin C lozenges?? Lightly bitter malt finish. Thanks to presario for this small gem. 020606

Mar 16, 2006 Updated: Sep 24, 20082005 bottle, rated 2008: Inky black with a little bit of head. Molasses nose - intense, with some charcoal, plummy depths. This can be nosed for a good long while. A lush creme brulee body with soft treacle and raisin, black sugar malts and toasted sesame seeds. The body has the richness of marrow. Alcohol and a light woody hoppiness dry this one out in the finish. This has aged wonderfully. Bottle at Beer Bistro. 9-4-8-4-17 = 4.2
Original rate: Pretty damn black. Rich dark chocolate and Yunnan coffee aroma. Chewy, chocolatey body with some dark malt, burnt fruits and a fair amount of hop bitterness. Quality, but unexceptional.

Sep 18, 2006 LCRBM2. Black with dark beige head. Really nice dark malts, charcoal too. Intense in mouth, bit sour. Liquid smokey charcoal. Smooth though.
