Bottle sample. Poured hazy dark copper color with a large rocky off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate to heavy wood caramel tawny port aroma. Medium body with sticky texture and soft carbonation. Full medium sweet flavor with a sweet woody finish of moderate to long duration. Very enjoyable brew

From bottle to glass. Aromas of rich, think caramel whilst slogging thru wet bogs. Pours a deep amber-copper with off white head that lingers. Taste is viscous caramel and slight floral hops. Not much off the barrel. Slight barn and earth as is warmed. Slight alcohol warmth.

Deep amber pour. Big sweet and malty nose. Body is sweet with caramelized malts, burnt sugars, and a boozy finish.

Zawiniete w papier, a butelka mimo to posiada etykiete. Elegancja i limitowana ilosc butelek. Super aromat sliwkowo truflowo winny. Nieco whisky wyczuwalo sie w smaku, karmelowe, powidla sliwkowe z nuta wanilli i odrobina cukru. A koncowka przyjemnie rozgrzewajaca i dluga no i wytrawno winna. Beczki po winie Bordeaux oddaly swoje. Super tresciwe ciemno brazowe piwo. Szkoda tylko ze piana zbyt dlugo sie nie trzymala. Ale mimo to polecam

Bottle, pours red/brown, nose red wine but then again this is a red wine BA beer so what do you expect. Soft at first, slightly fruity then it gets some wood and chewy. A bit of caramel on the finish as well, nice, not great.

Bottle 750 ml at home, wrapped in paper, corked and caged. Into a tulip. ABV 9% Deep red ruby colour, clear body, with one finger of tan head on top, thin, with average retention, leaving light lacing on the glass. Aroma is mildly vinus, with black and red grapes, sweet, with caramel and toasted malts. Nice taste, sweet with caramel and grapes, the grapes offering just a touch of sourness and balancing the overall sweetness a bit. Again quite vinus taste, with some toasted malts to accompany it. The alcohol is very well hidden. Medium body, nice carbonation and a bit tart on the palate. Very good, I enjoyed it.

Clear medium to dark brown - orange amber color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet malt, wood, oak. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, wood, candy, caramel, sweet malt, sweet grape - wine. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20131229]

Bottle at Craig’s. Pours dark brown with a thin beige head. Wood, wine and toffee aromas. Taste has more nuttiness to it. Oily mouthfeel. OK.

Dense varnished brown, firm but only ringed beige head. Woody but light enough wine. Soft enough silky mouthfeel. decent and rapeseed oily bitterness. Tinfoily towards the finish. This was purdy gud.
