Ungstrup (11702), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 10, 2004 The aroma is sweet caramel. The color is red-brown and it has a fine though collapsing beige head. The flavor is sweet caramel - nice for a Scotch ale. An good Scotch ale. Papsoe (11073), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 16, 2005 (Bottle 25 cl) Pitch black, brownish head. Typical roasted, licorice like-notes. Caramel, dried fruits - all the good, heavy solid flavours. And a strong alcohol in the finish. Potent and pleasuring. 221297 omhper (10950), Stockholm, Sweden Aug 10, 2007 Bottled at Man in the Moon, Stockholm. Cloudy mahogany coloured , rich firm head. Woody caramelly nose. Sweet with evident notes of spun sugar, fairly soft mouthfeel and full bodied. Toffee and caramel is completely dominant until grassy, resiny bitterness sets in. A warming but well sweet beer that I find myself enjoying thoroughly. yespr (7785), Copenhagen O, Denmark Oct 9, 2007 33 cL bottle. Pours hazzlenut brown with a lasting light brown and creamy head. Caramel malty nose with a slight yeastyness. At the following sips I noticed a very strange and atringent sulphorish note to the aroma, quite unpleasant. Soft and a bit creamy mouthfeel. Very sweet malty flavour, slight metallic/blood like note. Sweet fruity too, both with fruit notes from malt and sugar but also a minor hops fruityness. Soft malty finish. Nice. Oakes (7032), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Dec 2, 2000 Huge aroma, lots of malty, fruity flavours.
