COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It offers a finely wooded nose hinting at hazelnut, and is therefore distinct from traditional British scotches. It has a more rounded taste letting a discreetly full-bodied bitterness come to the fore, and will naturally seduce you.
Ingredients: Water, pale ale malt, caramel malt, aromatic malt, sugar, yeast, Kent hop, hallertau hop.

750ml served in a Duvel Tulip. A - Pours a dark and clear garnet with 2 fingers of stern khaki foam that retains very well forming a thin cap. A few round dots of lacing. S - Lots of fruit, plums, raisins, fruit cake, sweet malt, some spicy alcohol, T - Loads of caramel/toffee malts, apple brandy, vanilla, brown sugar, very sweet up front, brown bread crust, figs, cherries, apples, plums, dried bananas, sticky raisins, woody alcohol, spicy yeast. Finishes with a tea tannin bitterness. M - Very smooth and creamy feel, low carbonation, Wow! This was very good! Kind of like a Dubbel meets Scotch Ale. Very fruity with a dense malt backbone that had a woody alcohol edge to it. Great feel and I enjoyed every sip. I’m gonna pick up a few of these for Christmas/winter. Piana średnio i drobno pęcherzykowa, szybko opada do kożuszka, barwa mocnej herbaty, opalizująca. Nagazowanie niskie do średniego, odczucie w ustach półpełne, mocne alkoholowe rozgrzewanie i suszone morele w posmaku.

Ladna piana, lekko kremowa, szybko znikajaca, zostajaca obwodka i naszkle. Samo piwo przejrzyste, kolor herbaty. Aromaty glownie karmelowe, ale tez nieco ciemnych owocow, slodow, moze banan troszke, moze orzechy czy kawa troszke. Smak pasujacy do tego, z dominujaca slodycza karmelowa. Dosc ciezkie w odczucie - niskie wysycenie, wyczuwalny nieco alkohol, lekko syropowa konsystencja daja takie wrazenie. goryczka nisko-srednia, ale ewidentna - nienajprzyjemniejsza. Fajne piwo, nic nie urywajace.

33cl @ bottle. Scotch Ale godibilissima anche se di certo non una birra da grandi bevute. L’alcol anche se non eccessivo si sente tanto.

Tap (Academus, Wroclaw). Barwa ciemno miedziana, opalizujaca, piana bezowa, srednio trwala. Ladny lacing. Aromat slodowy, slodkawy, delikatnie owocowy. W smaku slodowe, owocowe, winne z owocowym posmakiem (wisnia, czeresnia) Piwo tresciwe, nisko nasycone, dobrze pijalne.

31.10.2014. Reddish brown. Aroma is slightly syrupy sweet, raisin, wood. Taste is sweet with plenty of caramel, toffee, tobacco, spices. Its quite sweet but still tasty in small amounts.

330ml bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Tromsdalen. Really good looking in the glass with its deep copper coloured body and frothy, off-white head, solid stand and spotty lacework. Smell of brown malts and brown sugar. Blended taste of brittle caramel, plums, raisin, and apricot with a yeasty touch beneath. Drying finish. Mostly hidden alcohol. Fine bodied. Maybe a tad too sweet, likable stuff whatsoever (Tromsř 22.03.2015).

W smaku złożone i gęste, początkowo słodkawe owocowe i karmelowe, następnie przechodzi w wytrawne lekko palone a na finiszu winne i rozgrzewające.

Bottle from Koelschtinker - many thanks, Roman! The beer has got a deep dark brown colour with a low head and smooth body. Aroma of malt, roast and torf. Taste of roasted torf, malt, mild sweetness, mild fruits, woods and forrest. Smooth and easy to drink, enjoyed it.
