3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask conditioned handpump Victoria Leeds 15/04/13. A golden beer with a tight white head and lace. A pleasant citrussy hoppy aroma. Hops good in the mouth too. Lemony. A biscuity dryness stops it developing too much. Still very competent.

Cask conditioned at The Chequers, Oxford. Gold with white head. This had quite a sweaty character to it, scented and quite thin. Some spruce like notes. Not to my taste.

Aroma: Grain, red apple and shortbread notes.
Appearance: Clear golden body with a medium off-white head that slowly fades. Light carbonation and lacing.
Taste: Pear, citrus and caramel. Grainy and earthy/grassy flavours. Light bitterness.
Palate: Thin body with a watery, slightly oily texture. Soft carbonation.
Overall: Simple, subtle flavours, Personally, it tastes a little too grainy for my liking, but this is a perfectly sessionable golden ale.

I tried this beer at the Scottish Real Ale Festival. Really nice golden appearance hint of lemon in the aroma. Taste was overwhelmingly soapy I found it a bit hard work and couldnít imagine having more than a couple of pints of it.
