On tap at the brewery - Pours copper / orange and is cloudy and has an off-white head. The aroma has passion fruit, mango and rich bread. It has a medium rough body with semi-soft carbonation and lots of it. It starts fairly dry with earthy/rustic character, woodiness, toffee and spiciness. The finish has a dry character, dried fruits, odd fruitiness and some banana. Some Belgian aspects are there, but more subtle than expected. Quite complex.

Tasted on 2/8/14 from a growler at the RBWG Grand Tasting, big thanks to strykzone for sharing. Pours clear caramel with a thin beige head that disappears fairly quickly. The nose is spicy belgian yeast, a dusty tropical fruit, and some caramel malt. The flavor is the same, a nice play between the lightly spicy yeast and tropical dusty fruit and some balancing malt. The body is medium with lively carbonation and a long balanced finish.

Notes of leaves, toast, earth, plum, fig, oak, and faint cinnamon apple, along with fresh paw paw, especially on the finish. Medium-bodied, with medium carbonation and a sweet, fruity mouthfeel. Interesting brew, very dry and spicy, the paw paw fruit really just melds with the fruity esters.

Sampled from a growler at RBWG. Darker brown and opaque. Some beige head. This brings lighter paw paw and I wish that were bigger. Spices are nice and the wood is tasted as is earth. Interesting stuff.
