pkbites (273), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Feb 9, 2007 Pours more of a "day after thick piss" amber than red. Nose is fruity & slightly hoppy. Almost no malt present. I can’t describe the head because it died immediately!! Wayyyy too sweet and fruity to be a true red. If you want a good red beer try Leinenkugels red, or go back in time and try Augsburger Rot, perhaps one of the best red beers ever. Some strange spice in the after-taste makes this one even worse! Paid $4.99 for a 12 pack sampler on 02/09/2007 in West Allis, WI..
RSRIZZO (1078), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Nov 3, 2007 Had this beer on 6/11/2006. Aroma is a light roasted malt scent. Color is a deep golden brown with light carbonation and thin head. Taste is smooth, rich and malty. Starting with a medium body it goes down with a smooth feel. Finish comes on with a roasted malt flavor backed by a mild bitterness and then ends with a sweet maltiness. This is a nice well balanced Amber. jonwayne4883 (401), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA Apr 4, 2007 false advertising, why call an amber red when it has neither red color or red ale characteristics? couple of spices here, not so good. DocLock (4175), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 20, 2006 Ruby copper colored with aroma of caramel malt, slight hops, slight cat piss, and mild vinous fruit. Tastes medium to light palate, with some vinous fruit, hops, tart lactic flavor, and caramel malt. Not a repeater for me. thedm (3407), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA May 19, 2006 This bottled brew from Fort Wayne, IN poured a small sized head of foamy off-white colored fine to medium sized mostly lasting bubbles that left behind a carbonated transparent copper brown colored body and a fair lacing. The aroma was sweet with malty ginger and metallic notes. The mouth feel was tingly from start to finish where it ended mildly hoppy crisp clean and smooth. The flavor was thin with malt hops mild caramel and mild red malty notes.
