Canned, from a cornershop in Kennington, London. A sparkling and brilliant gold colored body, topped by a fully diminishing white head. Aroma of sourish-sweet, light barnyardy apples. Taste is on the sweet side. Quite apple-ish with an acidic touch and hint of metal and sulphur. Mid-bodied. Juicy mouthfeel. Acidic-sweet apple finish.

"Come back to mine, I have something to drink" - You bastard. This hurt my lips. Sweet, alcohol is pretty evident, fizzy apples, not a great cider.

This one has definitely taken a turn for the worse since the days that I drank it on draught at the Waggon and Horses in Newmarket. The old Scrumpy was bright, clean, with lots of fruit, and a medium dryness (3.6). The new one is much sweeter, less fruit, with odd bitter and metallic notes (2.0).
