Draught at The Blue Bell, York. Labelled ’Symonds Scrumpy Jack’. Pours a clear bubbly pale gold with no head. Nice aroma of sweet apples and a hint of wood. Flavour of sweet and tart apples, light wood and a dry finish. Lightly carbonated, average bodied. Not bad, pretty refreshing. I enjoyed it.

500 ml Can. A golden cider with a thin light white head. Aroma of apples and light sulfur. In mouth, tart apples diluted in water, decent carbonatation. Overall, run of the mill. Canned 30-09-05. Bought in March 2006, Halifax.

Can. Poured light golden color with a small white head that diminished quickly with fair lacing. Light tart apple aroma. Light body with a dry texture. Flavor of tart apple with a light sweet dry finish. My expectations were met.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Optigon (562) - Bloomington, Indiana, USA - MAY 24, 2007
Pours with a moderate head. Brown coloration. Tart apple flavor with a dry mouth feel. Refreshing flavor. Probably the better of many commercial ciders I’ve had.
2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 jbrus (4989) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - MAY 23, 2007
Canned, my first Cider evening ever. Poor example of a drink that turned out to be more pleasant than expected. Aroma is more veggies than apple. Doesn’t look to good either. The only cider a had with an actual head? Very bland, few flavors, bit metallic.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Muggus69 (854) - Newcastle, NSW, AUSTRALIA - MAY 1, 2007
Chilled 500ml can. Nice aroma of crisp tart apples. Clean golden body with fine bubbles and a white collar. Flavour is reasonably sweet, a tad yeasty, some alcohol. reminisant of one of your tart red apple varieties in flavour. Body is quite full, carbonation soft with a drying abrupt finish, not all that tart though. Bit disappointing, not that I was expecting too much. Decent session cider.
