COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is an American style amber ale with distinctive hop flavor and aroma. The hop character is a result of the blending of Mt. Hood and Willamette hops. It is highlighted by the light amber color and balanced by malt undertones. We recommend this beer for those who enjoy hop characteristics, but don’t want to be overwhelmed by them.

Unimpressed. Appearance is a copper amber color with no head and no lacing. Carbonation is minimal and the body is poor. While the flavor is appealing, there is no distinctive items associated with this beer that will make it memorable.

Slightly hazy amber under a thin foamy off-white head. Lovely earthy caramel tone on the nose and a sweet touch of toast. Tasty flavor with some toast and a bit of earthy caramel, mild earthy bitterness with not a lot of prolific hop flavor. Just ok, pretty "amber".

Bottle. Poured a dark amber color with an off-white head. Aroma was light caramel notes, some earthy hops. Flavor was earthy hops, surrounded my a mostly biscuit, caramel and malty body. Drinkable, but not overly refreshing unfortunately.

Bottle from Total Wines, Sterling VA. Deep amber in colour with an off-white head. Easy drinking with some caramel and a trace of liquorice, before a gentle finish. Fine.

Bottle at Christine and Daves, cheers DLJ, 29/11/13. Hazed dark orange/amber with a moderate off white covering. Nose is biscuit malt, caramel crunch, brown sugar. Taste comprises cake mix, brown sugars, light metallic tang, Soreen Maltloaf, thin hop presence. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry finale. A little thin and watery. Mediocre affair.

22oz bottle. Pours a clear amber color with a small light beige head. Aroma of caramel, malt, some nuts, and a few hops. Taste is creamy, caramel, sweet malt, earthy, a touch of citrus, and some nuts, end is bitter and slightly sour. Medium bodied and smooth but light and crisp.

Pours clear copper with not much of head or lacing. Hint of malt and hops on both the aroma and taste. So so. I’m thinking that ambers are not really my style.

Nice rich color, aroma and very good flavor. A good amber ale you’ll want to have again and again!

22oz bottle. Excellent Amber, similar to the best English Bitters I've had. Malty to the finish. Fullers London Pride is one of my favorites and this matches it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

PorterPounder (5470) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - MAR 23, 2013
Tampa, Fl. - Total Wine - 22 oz bomber. Pours a dark amber with a light fluffy off-white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma has some heavy crystal malt accents, a bit of toffee. Flavor has some meatiness to it, a but of caramel sweetness, some light citrus bitterness and some toffee accents. Tastes a little bit like homebrew gone bad. Mouthfeel is thick enough, Needs a bit of work.
