Many people enjoy this IPA because of its bold hop aroma and flavor while it still finishes clean. It’s a great companion with a meal or a bull session with friends. It is unfiltered and dry-hopped to give you the full blast of the Gale Force. Hops: UK East Kent Goldings, Cascade and Columbus.

Pours a nice amber orange with thin white head. Aroma of citrus hops ever so slight, but dulled compared to other non-floral hops. Flavor at first was extremely different for an IPA, but came back somewhat, but defniitely has it’s own character in the IPA world.

Bottle from deeside drinks emporium. Pours a clear brown with little head. Not much aroma. Slight peppery orange. Flavour has the bitter hop taste but a very bland flavour. Again peppery. Expecting a hoppy bad boy with the name gale force IPA. More like a weak breeze IPA.

mile (3638) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JAN 29, 2016
Bottle. Golden, hazy, average to large and mostly diminishing head. Moderate malty and lightly sweetish - sweetish aroma, some caramel - light bread and light tropical/floral fruitiness, light - some citrus hoppyness. Body is medium, malty and lightly sweetish flavor, light - some caramel and light tropical/floral fruitiness with light - some grapefruit/ citrus hoppyness. Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish, light caramel - faint bread and faint fruitiness with light - some citrus/grapefruit hoppynes, Too much caramel - too little bitterness and fruitiness. OK but really nothing special - lacks character.

355ml bottle. Cloudy, orangey, deep golden colour with small to average, thick, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Citrusy and minimally piney, hoppy aroma, notes of orange, tangerine, grapefruit, caramel malty background. Taste is tart-ish bitter hoppy, grassy, strawym slightly mineral and minimally medicinal, biscuity, pale malty background. Unconvincing.

Bottle, pours pale gold with a light haze and a decent head. Zesty lemon upfront, bitter Seville orange marmalade, honey malts, light medium body with a full long, bitter ending. Soft carbonation.

Bottle. Nose of light caramel and strong orange marmalade (striking!) with lighter greens and wood. Pours hazy orange with a too-large and excitable dense beige head. Taste medium bitter but really smacks with dense carbonation and a high degree of mineral flavor (think bottled mineral water). Generally clean with a little wheat/caramel like flavor on a slime, bitterness turns a leafy green with light resin and the minerals turn a bit too salty. Touch of cookie. Medium body but the carbonation bumps it up a notch. Lightly sweet, bit drier in the aftertaste. Touch of alcohol showing but barely, some interesting dark toffee flitting about the bottom after the citrus very quickly recedes. Overall very fresh, but also raw. [2015.11.02: 3.1]
