COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This "imperial IPA" has a very strong hop aroma and flavor, however it isn’t as bitter as the Gale Force IPA. There is a strong malt backbone to offer a level of balance but with over two and a half pounds of hops per barrel it resonates hops from start to finish. With so much flavor happening you miss the 8.6% alcohol by volume so be careful when serving or drinking. Hops were added at every stage of the process...it was dry-hopped with chinooks for two weeks. 75 IBU’s. Hops: chinook, centennial, columbus, cascade, bullion.

12 ounce bottle pours an orange copper color with minimal off-white head that dissipates quickly. Some minor citrus and resin aromas not extremely impressive nose. Strong malt backbone with a bit of an earthy flavor along with some pine. Just ok.

Bottle. Deep gold, a little cloudy. Assertive hops but nicely balanced, with a bitter finish. Good strong IPA

Hazy copper under a thick rocky off-ivory head. Big nose of caratoffee and lovely floral hop notes. Big fat flavor of chewy toffee and granola, and something like pecans and a little kiss of coffee. The hop flavor isn’t too sharp or bitter, but just right and balancing, without too much to distract from the sweet toffee body. Almost like English toffee pudding with a punch of earthy semi bitterness.

UPDATED: MAY 15, 2014 A bit skunky. Went down smooth but had slight hitch at the end. Content was right on...will try again.

This beer pours a crystal clear deep copper gold with a thick head of foam that is solid, long lasting and laces the glass. The aroma is pine needles & biscuity malts. Full bodied with a silky smooth mouthfeel it has a soft but persistent earthy "green" bitterness that evokes a walk through a pine forest. Really interesting stuff for lovers of bitter hoppy IPAs.

Bottles. Close to as advertised. What's missing: Can taste the extra alcohol. A little too dry under it all. Somewhat like sucking on a tea bag. Pissed that's it's more expensive than regular products. Definitely prefer Gale Force, which was $2 less for a sixer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

big broom straw thru out the experience. hoppy a bit in the backround with grapefruit citrus. slick and a bit syrup like the brew is somewhat sweet which gives a candy like dimension to the grapefruit. some caramel in there.

Bottle in Osaka. Clear amber colour. Very bitter hop aroma with reisin and pine. Same with the flavour, somewhat cloying.

Lagerboy (1234) - British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 25, 2014
Bomber. Unclear orange, fading off-white foam. Citrus floral herbal hoppy aroma. Bitter citric pine taste, spicy earthy herbal and floral hops mostly mask the faint c-malts. Average carbonation, medium bodied, aggressively hopped. Dry resinous harsh finish. Rough and unbalanced. DNFL (Definitely Not For Lagerboys)
